BROKEN WHEAT HALWA | GODHUMA RAVA KESAR
INGREDIENTS:
Ghee – 3 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Cashew nuts – few
Raisins – few
Broken wheat – 1 cup
Hot water – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 1/2 cup
Cardamom [crushed] – 2
METHOD:
1. Heat 3 tsp ghee/butter and 2 tbsp oil in a saucepan. Fry few cashew nuts and few raisins for a minute or less, and add 1 cup broken wheat. Fry it for 2 minutes on low flame.
2. Add 3 cups hot water. Cook it for 4 minutes on low flame. Switch off the flame and let it cool for 5 minutes.
3. Now add one and a half cup sugar to it and mix it well. Cook it until sugar meltdown. Add 2 crushed cardamoms and mix them well. Switch off the flame and serve.
