Every time I see Henry Cavill I’m reminded that I’m somewhat embarrassed to also consider myself a human male. Add seeming to also be a really genuine guy and well… just… dammit.
When they got to “argy-bargy” I just assumed it was a skit, and they’d gone from real terms to fake ones and were just improvising the definitions. Then they got back to the ones I’ve heard of and I got all confused again.
‘Nob’ refers to someone upper class or in a position of importance or seniority (similar to ‘Toff’); ‘Knob’ refers to a penis, or a person who is a bit of a penis (e.g. look at that knobhead)
i often genuinely wonder how much American slang is *completely* alien to other English speaking countries. i remember watching an RT video where Gavin was talking about the word ‘fag,’ explaining how strange it is to him to say a completely normal word and have an entire room react.
help me out, British folks. there must be some American slang that comes off as absolute nonsense to you guys. maybe even something potentially shocking that no one in the States would even blink at. i’m curious.
I love how on every post with a moderately attractive woman all the comments are about her and every post with a guy the comments are about the content, but Henry Cavil is so god damn handsome every guy on reddit turns gay for him because he’s such a magnificent beast of a man.
I keep forgetting Henry Cavill is one of us.
Henry should do more British roles in films. He should cast for James Bond, he’s got such a posh accent.
I never realised, but yeah… If there’s a dog with massive bollocks I totally do point it out to whoever I’m with.
Henry Caville looks too handsome to be human.
It always freaks me out when I hear Henry Cavill speak with his normal accent. Please let him be Archer and also Bond.
Dang Cavill is jaaaaaaaaaaaaaacked
I think Hugh Laurie started the whole “Brit actor with a flawless US accent” phenomenon.
They look bored out of their skulls, doing the promo for a blockbuster must be exhausting
Why is Henry wearing a wet shirt?
God I love these guys
Tash? At the end, what does that mean?
I want them to explain the “proper English” bit in Austin Powers in Goldmember.
i can see a hot fuzz 2 with henry as a long lost brother of simon
Two notes:
1. I say this, with a well-known history of staunch heterosexuality: Henry Cavill can GET IT.
2. Simon Pegg could probably easily play David Bowie in a biopic.
British slang sounds like it all originated from nursery rhymes, so it sounds particularly hilarious when British gangsters use it.
Teach me more Henry
Is there some other nation which gets Renaissance music played in that kind of context?
Hard cheese I think I’ve heard as to refer to one’s pee pee’s debris under the skin
Hence Cavill started losing it
TIL Henry Cavill is English.
Would have been perfect to write Ligma on one of those slides.
Henry Cavill is just ridiculously good-looking. Seems like a chill dude too. I hate him 😐

“We’re here to teach you slang we don’t even know”

I always get the names Henry Cavill and Jim Caviezel mixed up.
damn….. atleast they don’t speak like us [Grimbarians](http://codalmighty.com/site/ca.php?article=220)

HENRY CAVILL IS BRITISH?
I’d go gay for Henry Cavill. Willing to be bottom as well.
Henry Cavill is just ridiculously handsome. He literally looks like a Renaissance master’s idea of male beauty immortalized in marble.
that guy on the left is cool
I thought “dogs bollocks” came from how dogs seem to very much enjoy licking them.
Therefore they must be the best.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was such a good movie. Henry Cavill and Arnie Hammer are just eye candy.
>not to be confused with *tash*

“Twit” – A silly person… Kind of funny how “English” slang is “English”…
I don’t know if it’s an age thing or arregional thing, or what, but as a 40-something Brit, I’d never heard the word doofer.
Henry is a ridiculously good looking man. If I were a woman I’d throw myself at him.
Idiot Box also happens to be a fantastic song.
I’m cracking up about Dog’s Bollocks at work

“All mouth and no trousers” is kind of like the American phrase, “All hat and no cattle.”
Why is Superman English? And why am I questioning my sexuality?
