I don’t understand these reactions. Last fall two turkeys did the exact same thing to me, and when they noticed I wasn’t moving away they stopped. I always think it’s amusing when we humans run away from these birds. The birds have no idea how lucky they are that we’re just being nice to them. Natural selection would have put them on the dinner table a short while ago.
