Considering sand dollars can’t live very long out of the water, and it seems to have some kind of severe injury (the part with no fur or whatever surrounded by dark green) it’s probably on its way out 🙁

I’ve found dozens of these in the ocean. They’re weird and tend to release some kind of iodine or something. Better to just leave them be.

What is a live sand dollar?
Do yanks not go to the beach or something? Literally, every child here has seen this countless times.
We also call them sea biscuits.

Wtf??? I always thought sand dollars were just like some flat rock. Never knew it was an animal.
