Not taking anything away from young Mike, he was the best. But after King got involved there was shenanigans.

No doubt, Don King ruined this champ. You can only imagine the career he could have had if he was looked after correctly.
I mean, sure, we could attribute some of his success to psychological warfare… or the fact that his opponents were getting punched in the face by Mike Tyson.

I met Mike Tyson and Don King in a movie theater lobby in 1988. Tyson signed the back of a business card for me. I was going to see Beetlejuice.
To me he is the most fascinating person ever. From his upbringing to how he dominated as fighter, lost all his money and went on this crazy downward spiral, losing all his money, losing his daughter and then the change he went through.
Seems like he paid a steep price… the brain damage he took over the course of his career is apparent in his speech
