Two stories I remember are this one and that animal crossing “letters from mom” one. turned out the latter was bullshit and mom was just a game character lol
One of my happiest memories was my dad taking me to the store to buy an NES game, which, after I saw the glimmer of gold on the wall, ended up being the Legend of Zelda.
I’d play it for hours on end, and he’d often sit in for a bit here and there to watch me play it. Miss him.
Wish my dad was involved enough to even form memories like this. When he’s gone, I’ll hardly have anything to look back on.
Makes me both jealous and happy for the younger generations with their much more involved father figures. The old way of doing things really needs to go.
It is nice to see some of the benefits that technology can offer for our emotional and spiritual well being. Sure there have been a lot of downsides to society as it adjusts to the rapid advancement of social media and other technology but it will help us immortalize normal people to extent that would have never been thought possible. I don’t even know the name, let alone any details, of my great-grandparents but there is a chance that my great, great, great grandchildren could know me on a personal level if they were curious. Pretty cool as long as they don’t somehow stumble upon my browsing history.
Aww man that’s so sweet. I still remember waking up in the night cause I heard my dad yelling. Went down stairs and he had acquired one of those racing licenses in Gran Turismo.. Only PS game we could really hit it off, in since I couldnt trash my cars with my noob driving :l
Yeah yeah yeah. This story has been told so many times. First time I heard it, it was Mario Kart 64…. one person did this and every single person after has been whoring for likes.
Man this made me tear up. Lost my father 5 days before my second birthday. Right around the time I was born he bought an Acura Legend that ended up just sitting in our driveway after he passed. When I turned 16 and got my license mom handed me the keys to the car. It was in really rough shape after sitting there so long but it was mine so I was super stoked. Had to replace the tires, put in a new battery, and spent hours washing/cleaning it.
I went through the glove box and there was a receipt from the dealership. Written on it was a note my dad had jotted down:
>Can’t wait to hand miguelito the keys and teach him how to drive manual one day!
Wish you could of dad. Mom made sure I got them, Love you
Fuck everyone in this thread for giving me crying poops while on the shitter. I became a dad not too long ago and my worst fear is dying before I can see what kind of man my son will become. If I do die young i hope he knows i loved him and that I am sure I would be proud of how he turned out. And I am sure it is the same way for all those that lost their father when they were young.
Then one day your girlfriend comes over and plays that race she always sees you playing and surprises you with, “Hey I beat that ghost you always let win. So stupid.”
Reminds me of the tearjerker where the kid’s mom played his copy of animal crossing while in the hospital for cancer treatment and when she died she left him a town that she had dedicated to him.
It’s a good video, but please stop trying to convince everyone that this made you cry. You can admire the story and appreciate the sentiment without also feeling the need to bullshit everyone.

That’s a good cry first thing In the morning.
I wish I had that experience with my dad, glad this guy did, this is why I play games with all four of my sons no matter the genre.
If you have kids make memories!

Cool video but the music makes it sound annoyingly pretentious.
How to take a shitty generic story and turn it into a karma whoring video.
This is the kind of gut punch that forces a tear out
This is a good Psychopathy test. If you’re not bawling or tearing up, you might as well be a Psychopath.

Oh wow, onion factory started early today

TMNT: Turtles in Time
Super Mario World
