IBM Blockchain Platform Starter Plan – now in GA:
Develop. Govern. Operate a blockchain network:
Simple solution that will change how people choose and buy food. I like projects that deal with issues rather than copies of copies. But it's also sad that there are corporations doing this and no startups
This is a good video to understand basic functionality of blockchain!
. For those ones who is interesting in this topic I also highly recommend to check Ambrosus project – they also work on food supply chain security etc
OriginTrail (TRAC)

Consuming too much fruit will give you diabetes eventually.
TE-FOODS or Origin Trail!!
XLM?
Can this technology be used in ingredient components in processed foods?
Here is Question about the First Information edit to the network, how the system manages the correct information? the farmers maybe vending incorrect information about the chemicals they use, the time. etc . i think this weak point of using blockchain for food safety
We already have the technology to track products to their sources, it is called database.
Blockchain is just a ledger where the links between transactions are encrypted.
This video sounds like gratuitous buzzword throwing.
what frameworks did IBM use in this case?
Great proven technology with utility will be adopted. Did you know that Digibyte (DGB) is proven, has been sustained for 4 years, fast 580 TPS, 2000 TPS by 2020, longest UTXO, secure, and most decentralized blockchain?
Stellar lumens XLM >IBM> WALMART. Take me to the moon XLM!
Ambrosus (AMB) has a much better product with many more functions. AMB will moon before Q3 2018. Looks like WMT and IBM tried to copy AMB but did a poor job.
I think this kind of relates to what smartlands is doing. Not sure though.
TE-Food is already doing this in South East Asia, working project. Great blockchain usecase, ICO is due soon.
why is blockchain needed for this case , if you can offer much more advanced transparancy with ibm cloud and ibm watson ?!? due to connecting a cloud mix and watson it can offer walmart more than blockchain ledger
eg
trace origin raw material by watson
haccp procedure
production data in the cloud
logistic data in the cloud
commercial data in the cloud
then, could it be released as private chain?
Very impressive technology with so many positive applications. Great stuff.
INTERNET BLOCKCHAIN MONOPOLY
No longer farm to table food will be cloud to client

BaaS the platform for trust, transparency and responsible steweardship!
This is one of the main reasons I love blockchain; transparency.
In this case, blockchain transparency brings knowledge, efficiency and most importantly…safety. Blockchain does this almost instantly.
I already wonder how we got by without it.
I'll be following your progress with great interest Walmart and IBM.
