is pretty much the whole tone of the game awards, geoff just comes off so disingenuous that i cant help but be cynical about it
Was expecting someone to pull a roll of cling film and wrap it up. Disappointed. One might ask wtf somebody was doing with a roll of cling film, but that would not be me.
Honestly, it was a pretty solid production. As a 35-year-old lifelong gamer, I didn’t think we’d see the day where gaming would rival the movie industry. The production of the game awards was really pretty solid. What a time to be alive.

I enjoyed the awards show, but it honestly felt like the ‘awards’ part came secondary to the world premieres. I get that new video games are gonna be what everyone’s excited for, but I couldn’t help but feel a little bit bad for the developers who were being rushed on and off stage. Or they’d just list off like 5 awards at once and some of them felt like they should’ve been a bigger thing. I think best RPG or action game was given away in the pre-show?
I like how they gave such a short amount of time to the person that they hand selected as an industry icon that represents the passion and dedication of the people who make games. Like… why even do it if you’re just gonna give him 30 seconds to talk?
That kid needs to not look how he currently looks.

Oh it was a great show. So many new games. So many announcements !. But the show ended up being like 3hours and a Half !
