this was gold
[He’s still going too!](https://youtu.be/ANnph60am5U)
Cheese and crackers 6 years already
I love what good sports all the people watching were.
Most people don’t know this but this is where Post Malone got his big break.
Who knew there was so many attractive people on chatroulette.
Shortly before this video came out, Billboard started including YouTube views in their chart calculations. This included any video that used the song, not just the music video. Wrecking Ball initially hit #1 on the Billboard charts, but dropped down in the following weeks. Then this video came out and got so many views that Wrecking Ball went back up to #1.
This is oddly heartwarming. Also I have a secret love for this song.
Oh man, throw back to a simpler time….
This is still one of my favorite YouTube videos ever.
And in my opinion, one of the best videos of all time.
Look at all those people smiling, That’s what entertainment should be about.
Just one dude making a bunch of people happy.
The absolute joy on everyone’s faces. It gets me every. single. time.

There is something beautifully wholesome about this. I always find myself crying when I see this video.
I love the guy who had to move his hair to believe what he was seeing
8 years ago Natalia Tena (from Harry Potter and Game of Thrones) did something similar with her band as a music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFA5KotmEiI
Serious question. Who actually goes on chat roulette and for what? Seems like 75% is either solo shirtless dudes or groups of people.
Is that Shawn Johnson near the end?
His Call Me Maybe is my favourite Youtube video of all time. I watch it at least once a year and it always makes me happy. https://youtu.be/KAQhG59zqZc
easily my favourite era of youtube
[This guy had the peak reaction](https://i.imgur.com/2JkoGLB.png)
I remember exactly where I was when I was shown this video for the first time and I still cannot stop laughing.
This guy made me love Carly Rae Jepson’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ and I have not forgiven him.
I worked at the YouTube network that he was with at this time. (Maker Studios). It’s also almost the anniversary of his Mariah Carey Christmas cover. Mariah Carey is notoriously difficult to work with. That year was also the first year that the billboard charts counted YouTube streams for it’s top charts.
So Steve makes his Mariah Carey cover and doesn’t tell any of us it’s coming he just releases it on YouTube and Mariah’s team is PISSED. We had music industry connections so one of our execs is trying to smooth things over when all of a sudden a 3 year old (edit: or however old it was) Christmas song is charting higher and because it’s charting it starts selling more. Suddenly we’re the good guys and “who else can you do this for.”
Good times.
His version of Telephone by Lady Gaga featuring Beyoncé is priceless https://youtu.be/Bn-HoMwLVJA
My first intro to him was with a Katy Perry song, still my favorite.

My favorite one of these is his [All I Want for Christmas is You](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InYvRyX2Fu4) version. It’s just so goofy and fun.
I still watch this when I’m feeling blue.
Also the Peacock one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho8i0RilUCA
I’m all about that 3 a.m. hooker lipstick.
This guy is from my hometown and I saw him at a bar on my 21st birthday and super drunkenly asked him to take a picture with me which he clearly didn’t want to do but took it anyway about 5 minutes later I was projectile vomiting outside.
So sorry about that, Steve.
Likely the closest we’ve ever been to world peace
Not being sarcastic but this is truly one of the most beautiful things on the internet. Just people all sharing joy spread by this hero. Oh how far we’ve come.
I want to believe this guy just clocks in 9-5 at an office job and no one recognizes him there.
