I went on the Queen Mary once, I was surprised the long hallways down the length of the ship were not flat but instead bowed the a parabola. Too bad this detail was not included 🙁
I’m having flashbacks to Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, I loved that game when I was younger.
I like this a lot and appreciate what the devs are doing. Also while I’m wholly aware that this is a demo, the seagull animations cracked me up.

It would be cool if this played like majoras mask. You had a finite amount of time to complete tasks before it sinks. Only to start over to complete additional tasks before it sinks.

I went through most of the video and didn’t see a single iceberg or ship sinking. I feel like i’ve been lied too.
For a 100% accurate model of the Titanic, there’s a distinct shortage of ‘being underwater’.
i dunno, it looks like there’s smoke coming from all 4 stacks but i’m sure I read one of them was fake and only included to look better.
Wow. Honestly this is blowing me away right now. How hasnt this been thought of before? You could *easily* design a story for who you are and things to do on the ship. As the quests progresses to the inevitble climax (the iceburg) it could be a nonstop action experience. Omg they could even play it out in real time! Imagine if at the point of impact you were given a series of tasks and the game *knew* you wouldnt be able to complete them all before the ship sank! How long did it take? About 2.5 hours to sink? So you’d be frantically running around to save the people you wanted and do the things you wanted. Mabye you’d miss the boat, maybe youd have to pay off someone to save a lifeboat for you, maybe they’d betray you. That would be amazing.
Wish there was a demo for Mac 🙁

Oh my god. I want to see something like this on a grand scale like the Great Fire of London in 1666. I recently learned about it because Minecraft made an interactive version of the city.
Interactive history makes learning things so much damm better.
What a strange title. You would think this is an entry in the Silent Hunter series.
Now change the settings to night time, in the middle of the sea, remove the overly calming music and you’ve got yourself a terrifying game.

I remember as a kid in the early 90s, dad playing some game on the computer (other than wolfenstein for once). Long before I knew what the Titanic was. It was a murder mystery, I think, and I was facinated watching him play, walking around in this gorgeous ship searching for clues. I think this new demo is freaking mind-blowing.
This was great to watch high, seemed pretty realistic.
I than started thinking what if this map was on Garry’s Mod. That would be amazing.

Holy shit. My nephew right now is absolutely obsessed with the titanic. He wears a suit everywhere, talks in an english accent, proclaims which class people should sit in, etc.

I’ve followed this game for years. They have such a small team on an incredibly limited budget. They travel the world to get minute details about a particular type of wood used or a specific chair that was on the Titanic, and incorporate it all into the game.

If a recreation is “100% accurate” then it is a perfect real world duplicate of the original thing and not merely a digital simulation.
