Deep fried sushi roll is a very un-traditional sushi roll recipe; it’s the very definition of Americanized sushi, regardless it’s a very delicious Japanese style food recipe. I urge everyone to go ahead and try to cook this recipe from home, you will not be disappointed.
It’s a very simple recipe to follow; you don’t need to be a master chef to make this delicious recipe.

Here is a list of the equipment you will need:
• extremely sharp knife:
• bamboo rolling mat + rice paddle:
• cutting board
• deep fryer
• plastic bag.
— Cooking ingredients —
• salmon sushi grade:
• asparagus
• Masago Roe:
• Nori:
• Cooked sushi rice:
• Tempura batter mix:
• Panko:

The instructions in the video are very easy to follow, here is a summary of what to do.
1. Roll the salmon , masago and asparagus in a ura-maki (inside out sushi roll)
2. Dip the ura maki in the tempura batter mix then cover in panko bread crumbs
3. Deep fry the sushi roll until a crispy golden brown.
4. Cut the tempura covered sushi roll with a Japanese chef knife
5. Serve with some wasabi soya sauce and pickled ginger.

  1. Made me laugh when he said cut it into 1 centimeter too 2/5 inch cuts 😂👍. Pretty solid 1 inch cuts is what I’m eyeballing. Good vid though thank you . Slice it so thin sushi appears translucent. Like a mirage. You’ll know when you hit the sweet spot, the sushi will start to float, like in zero gravity, towards your mouth

  3. Nice…knife. Too bad you do not know how to properly hold it. And a flat bladed knife is not intended as a saw. But, it looks so good. 🙂
