Food Frontiers showcases six projects from around the United States that are increasing access to healthy food in varied ways – from a pioneering farm-to-school project to creative supermarket financing to cooking classes in a doctor’s office and a teen-managed grocery store.
This 36-minute documentary film – produced by the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future – is part of the FoodSpan curriculum, which provides an overview of the food system for high school students.
Hey so I'm watching this as homework and I just gotta say i can't believe i would have to watch something as long as this cya
Food Frontiers definitely does a great job of showing the local food movement coming back to a community level and the benefits that are coming with it.
It would have been nice if they had addressed why stores had moved out of those population centers…..crime? taxes? education level of potential employees? How were these affected by government funding of stores?
Outstanding stories beautifully told. Inspiring people.
Does anyone know the rating for this film? Is it PG?
not if you are homeless we have to eat out of Dumpsters and must be nice to be rich
I LOVE this video. Thank you for sharing. And as a mom, I loved seeing those precious little ones eating and putting fresh produce on their school lunch plates.
Amazing. This is inspiring.
This is terrific! Eat healthy to live healthy. Teach yourself and teach the children! And help the local farmer in the process! This could not be better.
