  1. It looks a hell of a lot better than the last one, but I feel like not using the Ghostbusters theme song in the trailer was a huge missed opportunity.

  2. Looks actually good, although I am a little sick of movies with the same 6 kids in it (or a group of kids in general as the main people, I only know the main kid in this trailer).

  3. As a die hard Ghostbusters fan, this trailer excited me.

For those saying it looks too serious – a) the last attempt at a GB film tried too hard to be over-the-top silly and failed b) they are drifting the Ecto-1 through a corn field and c) chasing a ghost while firing a seat-mounted proton pack while racing through a town.

Let’s also remember, the surviving original cast will have cameos, and the director is the son of Ivan Reitman who directed the original 2 GB films.

    I am cautiously optimistic.

  4. Anyone else enjoy the line “There hasn’t a been a ghost sighting in 30 years” as a nice subtle reminder and ‘F*ck You” to the 2016 movie that it isn’t canon and doesn’t exist??

  5. I haven’t really been following this franchise. They did a reboot with all women and that bombed, and now it’s all with kids?

This looks like an interesting take on the franchise, I might watch it. Didn’t watch the last one, but I am pretty sure I watched all the originals

  6. I don’t mind a younger cast, but not that young. We’ve had too many “group of kids saves the world from the supernatural” lately in media. It just seems like stale ground at this point. It should have been college-age kids, or something.

Like students on campus recruited by their older professors.

  7. 2 years ago at the board meeting…

-Well, Girlbusters didn’t work…but the public is going to love KIDBUSTERS!

-Why dont we make something ne–

    -Shut your fucking mouth!

  8. This definitely has potential. Really hope this is as good as it looks. Kind of impressed they resisted the urge to tease the surviving ‘busters. I hope that the movie doesn’t forget to be fun- that’s what makes the first one so great.

  9. Wow eh….that looks good?

I’m a huge sucker for the Ecto-1 car and man that part at the end with the siren sound was great. Trailer ppl know how to make you excited haha.

I really appreciated the scenes of Paul Rudd freaking out over the equipment. One of the big reasons I fell in love with Ghostbusters as a kid was seeing their insane technology. I was in love with the backpacks, the ghost trap, the detector and thought they all looked heavy duty and REAL. Seeing those props get the love they deserve makes me happy.

Last I heard though I thought the OG crew (minus Ramis) were doing this film but this looks to be about the grandchild and friends.

  10. I was under the impression it was going to be Paul Rudd and a new adult cast as the Ghostbusters which had me very excited.

From the looks of this you could just photoshop proton packs onto the IT kids and have Pennywise be the Staypuft Marshmellow man. Even the color filter makes it look like the town of Derry.

  11. It almost sounds like a sequel to the first one, are they ignoring the Statue of Liberty walking in number two, or Central Park turning into a supernatural hellscape in the video game (which is cannon)?

  12. I mean this is probably how you do a sequel after all this time but the first two were comedies.

They included a joke or two in the trailer but they’re like the jokes from ‘Room’. The overall tone looks grim and that’s …. not Ghostbusters.

  13. *looks at pile of donut holes*
“lol, they filmed in Canada, those are Timbits…”
    – Internet search, filmed in Calgary…
“Dammit, i can tell timbits from others, wtf is wrong with me…”
