this shit is far too common, cars have nearly collided with me for the same reason, people do not give a fuck when they just missed their exit.

I got lot of friends that dont even drive and when we’re on a long roadtrip. They usualy call exit way to late. I dont take the exit cuz its stupid and I prefer to lose time instead of cuting anyone. Then they’re pissed cuz I tell them for 5 min how they suck at guiding and they should switch with anyone on the back seat. they dont deserve the cool front seat
Is it really such a hassle to Go to the next exit? I don’t get these people. Oh well, at worst you’ll arrive 2-3 minutes later.
I’d like to know what happened that fucker. Seems like a pretty clear cut case of shitty driving causing multiple injuries with this dashcam recording their license plate.
The thing that I hate about these threads is that 100% of the time some assholes come in here blaming the person who was hit ಠ_ಠ “well if he sped up”… “well if only he had braked”…”well if only he had been driving a Tesla that sprouted wings and flew into the sky to avoid the bad driver”…..
Who cares??? The guy who was hit was NOT AT FAULT. ALL blame on this situation is on the dude driving the Pilot. Period.

The car in front of the car that swerved also seem to brake check the SUV (maybe because they wanted that exit). Seems like the SUV swerved in part to avoid the silver car. Not excusing the move, but that silver car might have been the initial offender.

Fuck drivers like that person though. So unfair too because they probably had the least damage hence least physical injury from the accident. That unsuspecting SUV that flipped got the worst of it.

You would think the guy who hit him would have heard the honking and at least slowed down/looked to see if his illegal maneuver was about to hit someone, but he’s probably so used to getting honked at that he just assumed he was in the clear.

as someone who’s lived in chicago for 15 years, it gives me no pleasure to report that chicagoans are notoriously goddamn awful drivers. Just a completely terrifying combination of always being distracted, having road rage, and being way too confident about their driving abilities

Anyone who teaches another soul how to drive should make this clear: it’s not the end of the world if you miss your exit, but it could be if you try to get in with no safety measures.
