“Some people” are so sick when it comes to dogs
This is my black lab. If my girlfriend or I start paying too much attention to each other and not her she does the following:
Step 1: force herself between us and wag her tail
Step 2: If she still isn’t the center of attention she will back up and start growl-talking at us
Step 3: Profit?
Step 4: Bark non-stop till we pay attention to her.

I love dogs as much as the next guy. But I draw the line at feet licking. So gross!
What’s with all this hate for people who don’t like dogs licking feet. One it is kinda weird and don’t try to deny it. Two most people consider dogs family and I doubt this is something you’d have a family member do.
