I went from “how did he do that?” to “Oh wow, that’s clever”
Wes Barker is a great guy. He came to our school’s athletic banquet a few years back as he graduated with a fellow coach of ours. He performed all night and performed this trick to the kids. It was a great night and one to remember.

That was a hugely enjoyable explanation. His enthusiasm is heartwarming, and it makes me love P&T even more… they’re more interested in it being a fun experience for the viewers than just being right and clever-clever. Ace
It seems they were only ‘fooled’ because they made the unnecessary assumption that he pierced the actual page with the sword. They already knew he must have peaked, so that’s the trick done, why assume an index afterwards when it’s not necessary?

Up until 14:30 I thought the card would have something more to do with the trick, like him guessing what card Jonathan has thought of or something like that.
… and now I know how to rip a telephone book in half. Now I just need to find one.
