  1. Not many people are mentioning about the fact that she didn’t have a speech too prepared because she didn’t expect to win, which is why the response is so genuine as well as a little ramble-y and disorganized.

  2. English treasure who’s just a fantastic actor who covers so many bases… a bit of a Chameleon. She has an amazing body of work and she really deserves this one as well.

Sick comedic chops in Peep Show, and dark drama action in Broadchurch. Worth checking out if you dig the pacing of each show.

  3. Oh man, that’s great for her! I remember always loving her in “Peepshow”. She’s come such a long way! Well deserved Oscar, i loved her in The favorite, congrats Olivia!

  4. However I do remember reading the reason she wasn’t chosen for the US version of Broadchurch when David Tennant was, was she “wasn’t famous enough”.

Think that has changed over the last few years and even more so now.

  5. This is great. Haven’t seen The Favourite yet, I think she also deserved something for her brilliant menacing role in the Les Miserables tv series, it was nice to see her play nasty. And we have The Crown to look forwards to.

  6. I remember watching her in the film Tyrannosaur and being like ‘holy shit’. First time I saw her in a serious role and I was blown away. So happy that she’s won.
