God that was awful. The audience hasn’t laughed at an SNL sketch in 20+ years
I didn’t find that funny at all.
Like, not even accidentally funny. The audience didn’t even know what to do with this because of how dumb it was.

One of the funniest SNL clips. I’m in tears.
My only gripe is that they made the character a method actor. They should’ve stuck to the absurd premise of him actually being an old timey prospector. SNL is really bad at ending their sketches.

It made it to air .. I saw it live.
The title made me think we were in for some comedy gold but all we got was Will Ferrell rattling some pans.
A completely average, meh skit made 100% funnier than it has any right to be solely because they break character.

How can a skit not make it to air on a live show? Clearly they were filming, so doesn’t that mean it made it to air?

Other than Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, this is my favorite sketch of the show. I just wish they would release footage of the Gabe Kaplan sketch with Will Ferrell. It’s apparently what they show cast members when they think their material isn’t working. Apparently it is unbelievable….
