See this is what I come to reddit for. Out of all the filth and people always complaining about how bad the world is, stuff like this puts a smile on your face.
Totally made my day. Used to work as a home samaritan and especially the old ladies loved when i sang some frank sinatra while doing their dishes or making their bed.
You know she was imagining her husband while he sang that. She drifted back to when her lover did fun and silly things like that while going to the fridge and for a moment there, she was there.
I’m a prosecutor and work with agencies that have body camera footage. The overwhelming amount of the footage I’ve been provided humanizes officers. I’ve long thought body cameras were the best answer to our current problem. It keeps every one honest, or hold everyone accountable.
I’ve seen some hilarious shit too. One time an officer was demonstrating the “finger to nose” test for a potentially impaired person, and when that person tried the test instead of touching their own nose, they touched the officers. Hilarious – you can see her index fingers slowly coming at then body camera haha. The officer couldn’t help but laugh. Most of them are amazing people.
*** edit just to say this – law enforcement is an industry of human beings. Some great, some terrible. Probably the same percentage of nurses, teachers, etc that are great v. terrible. The stakes are higher though, and justice should be an idea we diligently work to preserve the best we can. If you think “All Cops Are Bad” you need more exposure to cops. If you think the blue line is some sacred order, you need more exposure to people typically targeted by law enforcement across the country. If you just want to emote, and you don’t want to think, that’s fine but it isn’t going to help things.
This is really adorable actually. This guy’s a cop but he’s really self-conscious about his voice. He sings too fast which is a dead giveaway of nerves, and hits all the right notes until the self-doubt gets to him and he starts fucking it up. With some training and practice this guy would make a great singer, he has a good voice and a good ear.
This made me miss my mom-mom terribly. I am currently 9 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and it just hit me that I’ll never hear her sing these words to him/her like she did for all the rest of us.
Though I’m sure most reasonable people already know this, it’s always nice to be reminded that the vast majority of LEOs are good people who genuinely want to serve their community.
I always take the time to say hello to police officers and ask how they’re doing. They appreciate it. That officer who seemed mean and gave you a ticket this afternoon may have had to deal with a fatality involving small children in the morning.
It ended right before she whips open the door and pulls out her late husbands favorite butter platter which looks like a desert eagle. In a panic the the cop blows her away right there over breakfast.
Well that was nice
I literally just saw this on the news! So sweet!!

I have to know what was wrong with her microwave!

Saul Goodman is a cop now?
The way her face lit up as soon as he started singing.. made my day
Actually I quite enjoy the ones where the criminal gets shot.

This dude CAN sing. Until he switched keys halfway through. Still got a decent voice.

(I’m not crying, you’re crying)
Large “home teaching” sign on fridge.
Thin pink strip of paper.
Found the mormons!
(Nothing wrong with that, I just love seeing it.)
Why is nobody talking about the location of that refrigerator?
Mormons are such nice people.
I was almost certain that she was going to open the fridge and dead body’s were going to be in there.
Clearly the internet has broken me, because I kept waiting for her to open a fridge full of body parts.

Her face lights up as soon as he starts.
The vast majority of police are just like this guy.
