Wasn’t this confirmed the last time it was posted that the pilot dude actually went on the wrong Teamspeak and was chatting with some people trying to play a game of D&D who just decided to go with it? Because he was deadpan funny?
Is there an ELI5 on what happened here? 1. are these flight simulators really this serious? I thought they were just games. 2. did the pilot realize he was wrong and just decide to roll with it? 3. are these kids geniuses who just hangout and screw with people.
One of the reposts I watch every time. My good friend is a first officer for Delta and the video means even more nowadays because when we all go out drinking (when he’s not going to be flying of course), I try to replicate ATC and he just kicks my ass with his terminology. It always makes everyone laugh.
The reason this works is because the ATC volunteers have agreed to a set of rules and there is a penalty for breaking those rules. That’s why the pilot used the sentence “intending to simulate full realism”. That’s a condition of their ATC gameplay. They have to make an effort to help the pilot simulate full realism.
Hah that guy is hilarious.
I still watch this every time it gets reposted, and I still laugh. It’s becoming like the SR-71 story to me.
Real life Brian and Stewie.
I have no clue what I just watched but that was hilarious
As soon as I saw Flight Simulator X I knew it was Airproud95.
Someone explain the bright colored arrow in thumbnails of Youtube videos like these.
Is that supposed to attract more viewers?
Roger that, cleared to land the god damn plane, American 1337.
How does he do that without laughing?
Is Flight Simulator multiplayer?
“I know it’s my job, but….uh, he shouldn’ta hit the ground.”
I mean, he’s not wrong. That’s, like, first day of pilot class. Stupid F-18 pilot.
lost it at
> “flowing”?
American 1337 lol
good ‘ol AirPringles69.. gotta love him…
**LAND THE GOT. DAMN. PLANE!**

Is the intent here to practice FAA communication, or is this just for kicks
This guys videos are great! Watching him play on servers where others know the lingo as well is like watching videos in another language.
This guy and the cop who patrols GTAV online make the world a better place.
He buttered the shit out of that bread at the end tho
Videos like this make me want to break out the ol’ Logitech Attack 3 and take a tour of the world in a DC-3.
I am absolutely going to butter the muffin on 22 L
Pilot seems like a fun guy.
Butter that bread
>Don’t sink.
>SHUT UP.
> get the hell out of this airspace
I died ??
That’s a Youtube channel I didn’t realise I needed in my life until this post. Thanks OP
OMG a red arrow in the thumbnail, I NEED to watch this.
“The only reason you are in the air…. is because… you were able to get there.”
*Brain cells deteriorating*
Rotaté
Can anybody tldr this video
*rolls dice*
I am apparently one of the three people left in the world who somehow has not seen this video yet but I totally lost it at, “…LATITUDE???”
Doesn’t happen often but this had me in tears laughing so hard.

I love this game
Hilarious! Worth watching the whole thing.
Looks to me to be about 50% a joke…

I started crying with laughter when the guy said he has a second job outside the ATC delivering icecream.
That f-18. I love it. Just 180s and books it for a body of water after striking both wings.
If you are curious a correct ifr clearance would give a route, a transponder Code, a departure frequency, an probably an initial altitude limit.
Cleared to Logan airport via x departure direct y vor direct m intersection on departure squawk 3538 departure frequency 128.8 at or below 5000
.
>does it….. look clear???
i died :D:D:D:

So I know nothing about Flight Simulator; Is it supposed to be a serious thing? I always thought of it as more of a video game.
This is awesome. Any channels like this for military games?
I want that guy to follow me around and be my straight man.
This actually kind of makes me want to try FSX with one of those ATC sim services. Probably wouldn’t be this hilarious.
Open the video, inmediately look up the username.
See “Airforceproud95”
This is already going to be good and i’m one second in.
Funny.
If I’m remembering correctly this guy is a pilot in real life too lol.
Nice

Best laugh on reddit so far
love this guys videos. Top trolling
I’ve never played this game, but it looks fun
Stonemountain64 as the pilot and Daniel from Second Life in the tower seems like it would be fun.
Sounds like my high school flight school class.
AirProud95!
Hey I ran into these guys in Teamspeak. Funny bunch of folks.
I’ve never played any of these games, is it actually taken this seriously, terminology and all?
Being role players anyway, they just sort of went with it.
