No idea where I went wrong :(. First batch was tasteless and burnt skin by very moist chicken, second batch I turned down the oil tempt and skin fell off this and chicken was still tasteless. I think I used too much flour (plain) and not enough seasoning. :'(

Instead of buttermilk I use a mixture of milk and sour cream with a few dashes of hot sauce – it's so good with fried chicken.
